I've switched buildings again. Let me explain. My workplace got two buildings and depending on the project I'm working on I have to move between them. Right now I'm on the "secondary" building, were I've spent most of my time since I got employed.

I usually keep tracks of "last times". Like when it is the end of the year I keep joking "this is the last song of the year", "this is the last movie I see in this year", "this is the last time I go to the bathroom". Well, I had my last chance to be on the "primary" building, I don't think I will be returning to it full-time ever again. And now this is the last time I'll be on the "secondary" building.

That's because we will be moving to a single, bigger building in the near future (the current ones are going to be sold). I have some good memories and some terrible memories (the worst days of my life) in this building, and it's gonna be weird seeing it and no longer being able to enter it.

Changing the subject, I said sometime ago that I wanted to upgrade my graphics card. I'm still considering the GTX 970 (the Radeon 390 seems like a great option but I just don't have the PSU to support it). I hope to get the new card next month, I will be playing FarCry 4, Watch Dogs, Battlefield 4, Bioshock Infinite (with settings to the max!), and once they are released, Metal Gear Solid V, Fallout 4 and Mad Max. Also Batman Arkham Knight once it gets fixed.

I'm thinking about moving out of my house. I'm way old to keep living with my parents. It would have been great to do it after getting married but seeing how I need a girlfriend to do that, then I suppose that's not really an option. I tend to plan a lot of things and getting nothing done, I hope the same thing doesn't happen this time.
Still unnamed girl, again by ghost085
Still unnamed girl, again
One of my characters. I haven't named her yet.

I vectorized the lineart for this drawing a year ago. I tried to color it back then but it just wasn't working so I abandoned it. This week I decided to retake it and this is the result. It featured two characters originally, but I decided to split the image and leave only one.

STATS:
Lineart:    done with Inkscape using powernodes. They are good but a little messy sometimes.
Shading:  done with Gimp. I used like 16 layers. I think I have to be more efficient on that regard.

Another drawing
Hit DOWNLOAD to get the full res version.

Another drawing from an old sketch. I like how this one has sharper shading, I think my others drawings where a little too soft, to the point were there was no definition on their features. And I like how this compares to the pencil sketch, I think I translated most of the ideas correctly (shading with a mouse is difficult).

Oh, and I know, "way to cheap it on the feet". I was feeling lazy (big surprise) and felt like drawing them.

I hope you guys like it.

FINAL STATS:
Sketch: I think it was like 2 hours (I drew it more than 3 years ago)
Lineart: done with DrawPlus X5 in 2 hours
Shading: done with Gimp in about 4 hours

Hello! by ghost085
Hello!
Another old drawing. I love girls with short hair.

The outline was done in the PaintTool SAI demo. Just wanted to try it because I found out it allows you to draw lines with variable width. It's not exactly like drawing with vectors and I don't think I'll be using it again for lineart. The program is great, but I think it's too advanced for my needs.

The colouring was done in GIMP. I applied a couple of effects: I added some chromatic aberration just because, but I won't be using it again. Then I added some noise to simulate a printed source. I think it looks good.

Oh, and another detail, I coloured the outline. It makes the drawing look softer.

A new journal entry. I don't think people read them, but I like writing them anyway. They help me to keep track of my mood and the things I do. And it's fun to come back and read them later.

I'll just post some stuff that's going on right now:
- I've been suffering from some pain lately and sometimes it really puts me down cause it's been a LONG time since I've really felt completely OK. Well, what to do. I have to endure it.
- I'm planning to upgrade my videocard to a GTX 970. It's a little expensive but the performance boost I'll get it's amazing. But then, I'm a little tempted to wait and see if a new card is released, causing the current cards to drop in price. Perhaps I should wait and see if nVidia releases a GTX 960 ti, which could be good middle spot for me.
- I saw Avengers 2 the last weekend. Man, it was so cool. I really loved it. I'm pumped for Captain America 3. Seeing the cast they got for it I'm willing to bet it would almost as huge as Avengers.
- I'm really disgusted with the PC gaming community and their attitude lately. All the complaining about downgrades really angers me because it's seems people no longer enjoy games, they enjoy having pissing contests with console owners. Sometimes I feel like the era of AAA development is going away because those games are so expensive to make, and on top of it we have people complaining because the leaves on the branches of the trees you see in the mountains in the distance don't look as good as they hoped they would. It's stupid.

Well, that's all I can think for now. I hope to upgrade more frequently.

Well, thanx for all your favs :)

I have almost forgotten Teen Titans at all. Almost. I still come up with some jokes, but I don't feel encouraged enough to draw them.

Shame one me, I used to be so hardcore when it came to Teen Titans.

You're welcome.

Well I had practically forgotten their existence, but then I found a place where you can watch all the episodes online and got really into it again. :XD:

Thanks for the inspiration all the same. :)
